This policy explains what data leaststress.com and the steerStory app collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
We try to keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site, manage the iOS waitlist, and provide the app experience described on this site.
The website
Waitlist email
If you join the iOS waitlist, we store your email address so we can send you one launch email when steerStory becomes available on iPhone. We do not add you to a newsletter, and we do not share your email with other companies for marketing.
The waitlist form is processed by our site backend and stored in our database for this specific purpose.
Analytics
This site does not use advertising trackers. If we enable Cloudflare Web Analytics in deployment, it is cookie-free and only provides aggregate site traffic information. Otherwise, the site uses no analytics.
The steerStory app
steerStory is designed to keep your reading experience offline-first.
- Imported books stay on your device.
- Reading progress, bookmarks, goals, and streaks are stored locally on your device.
- App preferences such as theme, font settings, narration settings, and other usability choices are stored locally on your device.
- We do not sell your personal data.
If future app features need additional data collection, we will describe that clearly before release.
Data retention
- Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them or until we no longer need the list.
- On-device app data is removed when you delete the app, clear the app data, or delete the relevant content from your device.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your waitlist email at any time by contacting us at the email address below.
